Welcome to my Project

I am experimenting with this site to create a learning to read idea - especially for older students or adults. I have found that there aren't many resources available.

Features I have developed so far:

• The same story written at three different lexile levels.
• Pictures from AI to go with them (too babyish for now).
• A way to navigate through the story and difficulty levels.

Features I intend to develop:

• Scroll the text so only 5-6 words are on screen at a time.
• Hover over the text to reveal an image/gif that shows the meaning of the word.
• Text to speech - individual words or whole sentence to hear the story.
• Text to speech - individual words broken into phonics.
• Reading aloud to the computer to check the reader's fluency and get feedback
• Multiple choice questions to review understanding.
• Better stories - more variety and better pitch for non-confident, older readers.
