About

A writer who has lived a life

I'm Jason French — a screenwriter with a background that spans classrooms across multiple countries, community theatre, school governance, and years spent studying what makes stories work on screen. That breadth of experience finds its way into every script I write: characters who feel real because I've met them.

I work across drama, thriller, and family film — drawn to stories with genuine stakes, moral complexity, and something to say. My scripts are structurally rigorous and emotionally grounded. I know the frameworks — Yorke, Snyder, Iglesias — and I know when to break them.

I'm available for original commissions, development partnerships, and writing-to-brief. If a story is worth telling, I want to help you tell it.
